Jennifer Root Associate

Jennifer Root combines campaign and public policy experience to provide a unique and integrated approach to her work with candidates and public agencies.

Jennifer has led several successful campaigns including candidate, issue, educational, and healthcare campaigns throughout the country including her native Indiana where she worked for successful gubernatorial, mayoral, and state legislature campaigns.

In addition while attending law school Jennifer worked with the Indiana State Senate’s Democratic caucus to effectively implement legislative priorities that included anti-predatory lending legislation, equity in education funding, and defense of state environmental protections.

During the 2004 election cycle Jennifer honed her direct mail skills by working for one of the country’s largest direct mail firms, MSHC Partners. Jennifer worked with national organizations like the AFL-CIO, NEA, and the Sierra Club to effectively communicate their messages too members and voters across the country. She oversaw the mailing of over 2.2 million pieces of mail.

Jennifer has worked throughout California on successful campaigns of all sizes — ranging from Healthcare Districts with a population of 4,000 to Counties with populations of over 500,000.

Jennifer Root is a graduate of Indiana University with Undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Women’s Studies and a Juris Doctorate.
